Behavioural Studies
Behavioural Studies teaches students how to work and interact with people in various stages of life. Within the department we offer two courses: Pre-Primary Education (EQF 5) and Aged and Disability Care (EQF 4)).

Course Overview
Pre-Primary Education is a superior level course. It allows graduates to work with children aged 0-3 years old in kindergartens and nurseries.
Over the course of two years, students complete 2000 hours of study.
In their second year, students have internships at differnet schools.
What Our Students Learn
In this course our students learn how to organize and manage a group of children between the ages of 0 and 3 and how to plan fun and appropriate activities for kids aged 0-6.
Students learn about childhood development topics such as child thought process, their physical and emotional growth and their abilities.
To supplement the childhood development learning, students also learn how to tell stories how to design activities and games.

What Our Students Learn
Students learn how to best assist individuas in need of care.
In order to improve a patient's quality of life, students study different methods of administering caring, non-health, psychosocial and home management support activities; application of prevention and saftey measures; and how to refer individuals to other servies when necessary.
